Synopsis

A woman returns to the apartment she once shared with her estranged sister after years of silence, expecting only to gather a few remaining belongings. Instead, she finds herself pulled into a labyrinth of memory where grief, resentment, tenderness, and longing refuse to stay in the past. About the Author

K-Ming Chang is a Taiwanese American writer and a Kundiman Fellow whose work blends folklore, body horror, magical realism, and literary fiction. She is the author of Bestiary, Gods of Want, Organ Meats, and Cecilia. A recipient of the Lambda Literary Award, an O. Henry Prize, and a National Book Foundation 5 Under 35 honour, Chang's work has earned widespread acclaim for its inventive language and fearless exploration of identity, family, and desire.
