Thought Forms: A Record of Clairvoyant Investigation
Synopsis
First published in 1901, Thought Forms is a remarkable exploration of the visual manifestations of thoughts and the notion that thoughts exist as objects. Conceived by renowned Theosophists Annie Besant and C. W. Leadbeater, the book presents 58 illustrations based on their clairvoyant observations of how music, emotions, experiences, and colors affect thought forms.
The book's strange and beautiful illustrations would go on to influence twentieth-century art, inspiring artists including Wassily Kandinsky, Hilma af Klint, Piet Mondrian, and Paul Klee. This new edition features an introduction by occult author Mitch Horowitz and offers a fascinating intersection of Theosophy, spirituality, color, art, and the unseen world.
